Incumbent Worker Training
The Community Block Grant/Incumbent Worker Training Program (ITWP) objective is to support training projects that will benefit local business and industry by assisting in the skill development of existing employees, resulting in increased employee productivity and growth/retention of the company and its workforce.
On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) is a federally funded program that helps employers hire and train workers for full-time, long term employment. Employers may be reimbursed up to 50 percent of the wages earned by eligible new trainees while they learn the job.
Services to assist your workers affected by layoffs include: outplacement activities to assist workers in finding new jobs including comprehensive employment search training including resume development and networking skills, coordination of delivery of services to the employees, and information on career assessment.
